Software for viewing collections of gigapixel images
The Leeds Virtual Microscope (LVM) has been designed for viewing collections of gigapixel images on high-resolution displays (desktop or wall-sized), but also runs on ordinary PCs/laptops. It has been extensively evaluated with clinical pathologists, and tested with terapixel image collections. The LVM has been jointly developed by the University of Leeds, and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
